Gold prices fell in the Egyptian market prices in accordance with the stock exchanges and global parallel market, where a gram of 21 carat gold scored L.E.261, two pounds down from last week. While the prices of 18 carat gold recorded L.E.223 and 24 carat gold L.E.298.
Are there any changes in 18 and 24 carats? What is your source and which date were these prices recorded?
Dr. Wasfi Amin, President descriptors Jewellery Division General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, said in a statement to The Middle East Observer, that “The reason for the low price of gold is because the dollar is linked to the stock exchange and if the global dollar falls, so will the price of gold and vice versa.
