Former transitional president of Egypt Adly Mansour may be appointed by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi as the head of the country’s new parliament according to the constitution.
Mansour, the head of the Constitutional Court, is set end his legal service on 23 December 2015.
Sayyed Al-Badawi, head of Wafd Party, said that the party will nominate Ibrahim Mahlab for  prime minister and judge  Adly Mansour as the head of parliament.
Mahmoud Qubish , former Dean of  Cairo University’s Faculty of Law, said that it is the president’s right to appoint 5 per cent of the parliament members.Â
He pointed out that if Mansour is chosen for being a member in parliament, he must resign from the Constitutional Court since he will be nominated to the House of Representatives, requiring him to resign from his government post according to the constitution.
