Under the theme title “Financing the Future”, the annual economic international conference “Euromoney” has been opened in Cairo by the Finance Minister, Hani Kadri.
Euromoney Conferences is a prominent organiser of large-scale financial events in the major financial capitals of the world and the Middle East, notably Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Turkey and Qatar.
The two-days conference, on September 7 and 8, aims at addressing the development of energy, electricity and real estate sectors, in addition to investments in small and medium-sized enterprises.
The conference reviews the current mega projects taking place in Egypt, with workshops discussing the Suez Canal Corridor, Energy and Electricity, and Real Estate, Construction and Housing.
Throughout the two day event the focus centred on financing the planned projects and the view from global investors and their role in Egypt’s financial future.
Keynote speakers and workshop participants are looking into the best financing mix for the Suez Canal Axis Development projects and the surrounding industrial areas. They are also examining various energy and electricity projects through the Public Private Partnership system (PPP,) fields given top priority by the government as Egypt witnessed its worst energy shortfall in decades over the past few years.
“Euromoney Egypt’s conference is particularly timely as Egypt’s investment promise is being turned into reality. We’re looking forward to seeing how the projects launched at EEDC are being realized,” Victoria Behn, Euromoney Conferences’ Middle East Director, stated.
