Hany Alassal:
“The opening of the New Suez Canal is a message to the entire world that Egypt, despite all challenges has been going through and with the will of its people, brings this historical national project to the world, which represents vast opportunities, not only for Egypt but for the whole world,” Hany Alassal, CEO of Misr Italia Group, stated.
He added, “The New Suez Canal is not just a new shipping route, rather it is a national project that outlines Egypt’s new development, particularly with the implementation of new logistics projects in the strategic area surrounding the New Canal, which would contribute to the Egyptian economy’s recovery and increase the national income, foreign currency reserves, and to create thousands of job opportunities.”
“The New Suez Canal project would place the three Canal cities, Ismailia, Suez and Port Said, at the centre of urban and tourism investments due to the area’s great potential in terms of diverse and integrated tourism features, such as cultural, environmental, archaeological and religious tourism. This would reflect positively on urban development in all areas surrounding these cities,” Mr Assal noted.
Mr Assal thanked everyone who contributed to this significant historical achievement, adding that, “As Egyptians, we are proud of our leadership that has placed Egypt at the centre of global attention as a result of this success.”
