CBE says deposits in foreign currencies are worth EGP 323.3bn

The central bank of Egypt (CBE) stated that the total amount of deposits in foreign currencies is valued at EGP 323.3bn. Public business sector has seized EGP 17.6bn whereas private business sector seized EGP 99.4bn. Family sector has seized EGP 202bn. As for the rest of the sectors, they registered EGP 42.6bn.

As for deposits in local currencies, non-governmental deposits were valued at EGP 1.40 trillion, CBE said. Public business sector seized EGP 44.8bn of the deposits whereas private business sector seized EGP 262.8 trillion. Finally, the family sector registered EGP 1.08 trillion.
