The Egyptian Drilling Company’s Rig won the Driller of the Year award among 284 drilling rigs

This came during the General Assembly of the Egyptian Drilling Company to approve the results of the business result of the year 2023 via video conference in the presence of Geologist Alaa El Batal, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and his deputies, Engineer Youssef Mohamed, Chairman of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), Engineer Samir Raslan, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Agreements and Exploration, Engineer Ahmed Mustafa, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Production, Ashraf Abdullah, Assistant Minister for Financial and Economic Affairs, Engineer Hassanein Mohamed, Head of the Central Administration of the Minister’s Office, Engineer Walid Lotfy, Chairman of Petrojet, and Mohamed Ragheb, First Deputy of the Central Auditing Organization.

Eng. Osama Kamel, Chairman of the Egyptian Drilling Company, reviewed the most important performance indicators of the company, noting that the Egyptian Drilling Company is a distinguished model in its work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its drilling rig won the Driller of the Year award among 284 drilling rigs operating at the sites of Saudi Aramco Company, and that the company owns and operates a fleet of 69 onshore and offshore drilling and maintenance rigs with various specifications, and has succeeded during the past two years in adding 6 rigs to the fleet through the process of purchasing and rehabilitating rigs, and that for the second year in a row it has succeeded in reaching contractual rates of 100% for all drilling and maintenance rigs through interest and giving priority to occupational health and safety standards while preserving the environment, and achieved operational performance rates of 99%, which enhanced the confidence of major local and international production companies in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, pointing out that the company achieved the highest operating revenues during 2023 since the company’s inception in light of the ministry’s strategy to develop external business and maximize sources of income from foreign exchange.
