Must read

The United Arab Emirates has signed three key agreements to advance sustainable development in Asia and Africa, focusing on environmental, social, and economic progress. These initiatives are a testament to the UAE’s commitment to global humanitarian and sustainability goals.

In partnership with the Philippines, the UAE is set to restore Manila’s Pasig River, enhancing water quality and socio-economic conditions. This agreement, signed in the presence of Louise Araneta and Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, highlights the UAE’s dedication to environmental protection.

A second agreement with Indonesia aims to revolutionize waste management. The Clean Rivers Foundation, alongside the “Borealis and Systemiq” initiative, will work to improve recycling infrastructure and reduce waste leakage, setting a model for sustainable urban development.

Furthermore, the UAE has teamed up with the Tony Elumelu Foundation to empower 1,000 entrepreneurs across Africa, fostering economic growth and innovation. This partnership underscores the importance of entrepreneurship as a driver for sustainable development.

Dr. Linda Zhang, an environmental policy expert, praised these efforts as pioneering steps toward global sustainability, noting the UAE’s role in setting international benchmarks.
