Mahmoud Al-Sayed of Egypt emerged victorious at the World Junior Championships held in China, claiming the gold medal after defeating Italy’s Matteo Galassi in a closely contested final. This achievement shines brightly on Egypt’s sports landscape, reinforcing the nation’s reputation for producing world-class athletes.
The championship, which took place from April 7 to 15, saw Al-Sayed outshine his competitors with a score of 15-12 in the final match. His victory adds to Egypt’s medal tally, following a previous gold won by Abdel Rahman Taliba, further establishing Egypt’s formidable presence in international sports.
Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, lauded Al-Sayed for his outstanding performance. “We are immensely proud of Mahmoud and the entire Egyptian team. Their dedication and hard work have brought glory to our nation,” stated Minister Sobhi.
