In a meeting with Turki Alalsheikh, Saudi royal court advisor and chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Zimmer discussed several prospective projects that promise to blend Western musical mastery with rich Saudi heritage.
Among the ambitious initiatives on the table is Zimmer’s reinterpretation of the Saudi national anthem. We discussed many future projects that I hope will see the light of day soon… including redistributing the Saudi national anthem with different instruments.”
Zimmer is also reportedly composing a piece titled “Arabia,” inspired by the kingdom’s cultural tapestry.
