Owing to recent developments in the Middle East and the conflicting political and economic ‫ currents witnessed by the region, and considering recommendations of the recent Economic Development Conference held in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh, this periodical has reached the following major decision that targets meeting its initial goal.
The Middle East Observer decided to develop its editorial content, broaden its scale of production and advance the evolution of the newspaper. Starting Wednesday 3 June 2015, a new group of expert young journalists joined our staff in order to innovate the ‫ newspaper for the benefit of our readers across the Middle East, the Gulf, Africa and the Maghreb..
The current administration persevered to serve the newspaper and its readers since August 1959 after Ahmed Fouda, its current Chairman, purchased the newspaper from its previous company, Bourris and Edgar Bebelac Co., who initially founded The Middle East Observer in 1945.
The Middle East Observer starting this issue is moving forward to match the momentum of the current phase. This said, I call upon our faithful readers to provide me personally with their feedback regarding the introduced changes. Your feedback will be highly appreciated, and will help us serve you better, thus bringing us even closer to our goal.
