The collapse of the Arab spring scenario has undoubtedly fascinated the entire world and uncovered the cards of the game played by super powers but despite that the game is still going on to encourage the supporters of former president Mohamed Morsi.
This comes at a time the US legislators are tending to vote on legislation allowing part of the US aid to Egypt.
Republican US Representative Kay Granger Chairwoman of the House of Representatives subcommittee in charge of the aid, said her panel was considering allowing more flexibility that would allow the aid to continue because this will serve the US national security interest.
The US military aid to Egypt totals $1.3 billion in addition to a $250-million economic aid.
What the government of Hazem Beblawi will work on is to enhance democracy in the country and arrange for free and honest pools to defuse tension dominating the current political scene in Egypt, a mission that aims at bringing back security and economic stability to Egypt.
There is a noticeable and a provocative movement of the fleets of the super powers of the West and East blocs close to our territorial waters, something that is very similar to Tom and Jerry films.
These moves mean that the cold war in the Middle East is now at tense and the conflict over the Arab Spring countries is heated up to gain new control areas.
The question is who is going to win this conflict… Tom or Jerry ?
