Delemar Industrial Group has unveiled an ambitious EGP 5 billion expansion plan aimed at establishing several advanced industrial complexes across Egypt, reinforcing the country’s growing profile as a regional manufacturing hub.
Group Chairperson and Managing Director Mahmoud Haroun, who also serves on the Federation of Egyptian Industries and the Industry Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce, said the strategy marks Delemar’s shift from a domestically focused producer to an export-driven industrial powerhouse.
“Today, nearly 75% of Delemar’s production is exported to the United States, Canada, Europe, and Africa,” Haroun noted, adding that the company is now the largest exporter of aluminium to Germany among firms in Egypt and the Middle East — a reflection of “global confidence in Egyptian manufacturing standards.”
The expansion will see the launch of a new automotive glass production line for passenger cars, trucks, and minibuses, targeting 750,000 sets within two years, alongside new facilities for automotive components to support Egypt’s drive to localize production and reduce import dependency.
Other planned projects include the region’s largest architectural glass complex, which will double annual output from 1 million to 2 million square metres, and new production lines for fire-resistant ACP cladding and advanced paint systems with a capacity of 20,000 tons annually.
Delemar will also establish the region’s largest aluminium profile paint plant, featuring Double Booth technology and an initial capacity of 25,000 tons per year, expandable to 50,000 tons. A new anodizing line with a capacity of 15,000 tons per year will introduce exclusive color finishes not currently available in Africa, Europe, or the Middle East.
In parallel, the company is developing a specialized mould manufacturing facility to produce dies and spare parts for aluminium extrusion lines, and is contracting to install the largest aircraft parts production line in Africa and the Middle East, signaling its entry into high-precision manufacturing.
Haroun confirmed that seven new production lines are now being installed simultaneously, which will boost Delemar’s total output from 85,000 to 110,000 tons per year. The move, he said, aligns with Egypt’s broader industrial strategy to increase exports, deepen local supply chains, and elevate national manufacturing competitiveness.
