Kuwait is set to issue tenders for the supply, installation, and operation of gas turbines aimed at increasing the capacity of the Subiya power plant by nearly 900 megawatts (MW). This initiative, announced by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, underscores Kuwait’s commitment to meet the escalating domestic energy demand.
The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has greenlit the Ministry’s proposal to issue these tenders, highlighting the strategic importance of the Subiya station expansion in South Kuwait.
