Minister Badawi highlighted Egypt Gas Company’s significant contributions to the six main axes of the ministry’s work strategy, which include ensuring affordable access to petroleum products, expanding natural gas infrastructure, and integrating renewable energy sources into the national energy mix. A key focus is to elevate the renewable energy share to 42% by 2030, maximizing the utility of natural gas and fostering regional energy cooperation.
Engineer Wael Jawad, Chairman of Egypt Gas, presented a comprehensive overview of the company’s milestones during its 42nd anniversary year. He emphasized the successful completion of the first phase of the “Decent Life” initiative across five governorates, alongside major projects such as aircraft refueling stations and polyethylene pipe factories.
The company also achieved significant international milestones, executing strategic projects in Jordan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. This includes enhancing gas infrastructure and developing water networks, underpinning Egypt Gas’s reputation as a regional powerhouse.
Looking forward, Egypt Gas aims for a 15% annual growth rate over the next three years, with plans to restore natural gas delivery rates and expand customer services, particularly in Egypt’s new administrative capital. The company’s leadership remains committed to reinforcing its role in national and international energy sectors, promising continued contributions to economic growth and sustainability.
The assembly was attended by key figures from the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), and various ministry officials, all aligning in support of Egypt Gas’s strategic vision for the future.
