Egyptian financial services firm Beltone Holding has unveiled Robin, a new subsidiary dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) and data science. Headquartered in Cairo, Robin aims to revolutionize data utilization across the region, providing cutting-edge solutions to businesses ranging from large corporations to emerging startups.
Robin’s mission is clear: to transform complex, unstructured data into actionable insights that fuel business growth and enhance operational resilience. “Robin was founded on the belief that data is not merely a support tool, but the essential foundation for impactful business growth,” says Basma Rady, Chief Data Scientist at Beltone Holding and Managing Director of Robin. She emphasizes the subsidiary’s focus on the ‘human element’ in innovation, with a multidisciplinary team poised to deliver advanced solutions across various sectors.
Robin offers a full suite of services that guide clients through every phase of their data journey—from initial preparation to complete AI implementation. Their offerings include real-time monitoring dashboards, predictive analytics models, and sector-specific reporting tools, all designed to transform raw data into strategic assets. By integrating these customized intelligent systems into existing operations, Robin enhances both performance and precision.
In line with its mission to prepare the workforce for the AI era, Robin is investing heavily in upskilling talent through literacy programs, workshops, and hands-on training sessions. These initiatives aim to empower technical teams and executives, equipping them with the skills needed to navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
The launch of Robin comes at a pivotal moment in Egypt’s digital journey. In January, the government revealed the second edition of its National AI Strategy (2025–2030), setting ambitious goals for the country’s digital future. This strategy aims to position Egypt as a regional leader in AI, with targets including the cultivation of 30,000 AI specialists and the establishment of 250 AI companies by 2030.
According to the AI Talent Readiness Index for Africa 2025, Egypt ranks alongside Tunisia as the second-best-prepared nation on the continent for AI talent, a testament to the country’s significant investments in education and digital capacity-building.
With Robin’s entry into the market, opportunities for technology professionals and AI talent are set to expand significantly. AI, machine learning, and data analysis roles are in high demand, accounting for about nine percent of Egypt’s job market as of June 2025. Competition for these roles is driving more competitive compensation packages, particularly for Python programmers and AI specialists.
