The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in a rise, supported by the buying activity of foreign and Arab investors.
The benchmark index EGX30 went up 0.10%, gaining 13 points, and closed at the level of 12,982.66 points.
EGX70 added 0.58% to 559.89 points, while the broader index EGX100 rose 0.50% to close at 1,306.43 points.
The equal-weighted index EGX50 also gained 0.32% and closed at 2,072.14 points.
The market capital increased by EGP 1.2 billion to a total of EGP 652.3 billion.
Meanwhile, traded volumes reached 217 million shares, with a total turnover of EGP 886.2 billion.
Foreign and Arab investors’ trading activity leaned towards buying, netting EGP 38.8 million, and EGP 113.4 million respectively, while Egyptian investors were net buyers at EGP 152.2 million.
