Petrojet has achieved a 65% growth in revenues on an annual basis in 2016 to EGP 11.9 billion, the company’s president Salah Ismail said in a statement on Sunday.

The company has also recorded an unprecedented number of new deals during the year, reaching EGP 12.5 billion, including projects inside and outside Egypt, he added.

Egyptian petroleum contractors have succeeded in executing a number of oil projects in several Arab countries, which confirms their capabilities and ability to continue, compete, and win new deals globally, Egypt’s petroleum and mineral resources minister, Tarek El Molla, stated.

Such new projects will contribute to increasing job opportunities and provide US dollar resources, he added.

The company succeeded in building a number of oil rigs including one in Abou Keer alongside other projects across the country, the minister revealed, according to the statement.

Petrojet is also taking part in a number of foreign projects, including a gas splitting project in Siba gas field in Basra, Iraq, establishing 26 warehouses to store crude oil in Kuwait, as well as a station in Algeria.
